BLACK FRIDAY READING

LA RESPONSABILIDAD

BLACK FRIDAY READING
BLACK FRIDAY
It originated in Philadelphia, where it was used to describe the heavy traffic of people and vehicles that filled the streets the day after Thanksgiving. The use of this term began around 1961 among police officers in charge of traffic regulation, becoming popular around 1966, and spreading to the rest of the states from 1975.
Black Friday is not officially a holiday, but many employers view this day as a holiday along with Thanksgiving, giving their employees the day off, in fact increasing the total number of potential buyers. It has usually been the busiest day of business of the year since 2005.
Also the term "black Friday" was used in Vienna to describe the day the Vienna Stock Exchange collapsed. In 2013, approximately 141 million people in the United States bought during Black Friday, spending a total of 57.4 billion dollars, with network sales reaching 1.2 billion dollars.
